How the AI scribe works in a session
Dictate or type
Press Dictate in the SOAP form and speak for 20–60 seconds, or type short notes such as "pain 3, flexion 110, HEP 6/7 days, add step-ups".
Draft in about 10 seconds
The AI places the facts you gave under S, O, A and P in clear clinical English and lists anything you did not mention, such as swelling or gait.
You edit
Every drafted field is highlighted. Change wording, add findings, delete anything that is not right. The pain score is filled only if you said it.
You sign
Tick "I have reviewed and edited this AI draft" and save. The note is stored as yours, with an AI-assisted flag in the audit trail.

Six dictation languages
Dictate in English, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada or Malayalam, or mix them the way most clinicians talk. The draft is written in English so referral letters and insurance documents stay readable.
Red-flag prompt
If your dictation mentions something like calf pain after knee surgery, spreading numbness or bladder change, the scribe shows a reminder to apply your clinical judgement. It never decides anything.
Uses your context, not your patient's identity
The AI sees the condition, side, weeks since surgery and your last plan line. It never receives the patient's name, phone number or address.
Works where you write notes
In the patient record and in the right-hand drawer of the day schedule, next to the condition templates you already use for ACL, TKR, frozen shoulder, low back pain and more.
What the AI scribe does not do
It does not diagnose, choose treatment, change a home exercise plan or send anything to a patient or doctor. It drafts text from what you said, and the physiotherapist remains the author of the clinical record.
It does not record or store audio on our servers. Speech-to-text happens in your browser using its built-in speech recognition (in Chrome, Google's speech service processes the audio); you can always type instead. The text is sent to our AI provider to draft the note; we keep only a count of drafts per workspace, never the dictation itself.
An owner or admin must switch AI features on for the workspace in Settings before anyone can use the scribe, because clinical text leaves our servers for drafting. Each workspace has a fair-use limit of 300 AI drafts a day.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AI scribe included in the price?
Yes. The AI scribe is included on every Physio Clinic Software plan, from ₹999 per therapist a month, with a fair-use limit of 300 AI drafts per workspace per day. An owner or admin switches AI features on in Settings first.
Does the AI scribe save notes automatically?
No. It only fills the S, O, A and P boxes of the form with a draft. Nothing is saved until the physiotherapist edits it, ticks the review box and presses Save, and every AI-assisted note is flagged in the audit log.
Which languages can I dictate in?
English, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, including mixed speech. Recognition quality depends on your browser and microphone; Chrome on Android and desktop works best. You can also type short notes in any of these languages, and the draft is written in English.
Is patient data safe with the AI scribe?
The AI receives your dictation plus clinical context (condition, side, weeks since surgery, last plan line) but never the patient's name, phone number or address. We do not store the dictation; only a count of drafts is kept. Browser dictation in Chrome is processed by Google's speech service, so type instead if your clinic policy requires it.
Can the AI scribe write my assessment or diagnosis?
It only rewrites what you said. If you did not state an impression, the Assessment box stays short and the missing items are listed for you to add. Diagnosis and treatment decisions remain the physiotherapist's.
